I opened up my new monitor today, and I love it! It's a 23-inch Acer ordered off New Egg for $180. It's a bit of an expensive purchase, although it's a good deal for the size of the monitor. Now I can also use my monitor to watch movies, and it really boosts my productivity, too. Just tonight, Holy Kaw-ing went so much faster! Acer is a great buy. No speakers included, but I already have some from Josh. And the color is vibrant and bright. Not a single dead pixel that I can notice. *high five to myself!* (Which I suppose is really a clap.)

So, this is the Dupont Circle yogurt place everyone has been talking about! I finally tried it and got half original and half tart original. Not bad, but I still miss Fraiche dearly. There has not been a near comparison thus far. Mr Yogato makes up quite a bit in ambiance, though. There are board games on the table and quirky little rules. If you get a stamp on your forehead that says "I got stamped by Mr Yogato" (or something like that) or do the Thriller dance, you get discounts. And I actually saw both during the 15 minutes I was sitting there.

The twice cooked pork is exceptional. The mapo tofu is authentic, but the ma la is awfully strong.Chow fun is not the best, but not bad (Check out Mei Wah or Full Kee in DC instead). Overall, you gotta try the twice cooked pork! Some of the best we've ever had.

It's definitely a hole in the wall. Clean, but flooded in down-to-earth fluorescent lighting and simple tables with no cloths. Sodas are pulled from the visible refrigerator and served by the can with a straw--perfect for soothing Sichuan tickles.

The only seasoning I had in the kitchen was salt. So I had to by something I could only cook with salt! Beef it was. Turned out to be alright cuts of beef--it had some chewy fat toward the end. But not bad for 3-something for both pieces. Overcooked them a bit to medium instead of medium rare, but alrighty for a solo Friday night dinner, no?
